The location just outside Twizel made us feel like we were in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by breathtaking views of Mount Cook. the modern and faultless cabin provided us with clean and tidy rooms, along with a lovely rustic look and retro artwork. the owner even thoughtfully turned on the heater before our arrival. We were able to capture amazing photographs of the sunset on the mountain, and waking up to the sounds of birds was a peaceful experience. this was a great value for money accommodation, perfect for two adults and two teenagers. Our German guest was particularly impressed with the view. Highly recommended!
No issues. ✅.

We had a wonderful time staying at Omahau Downs in Twizel. The Cabin was a perfect choice for our getaway. The two-bedroom house provided ample space and seating, and it was warm, cosy, and well-equipped with a decent-sized kitchen. Although the fog prevented us from enjoying the view, the location offered tranquillity and a great escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby towns. It's conveniently close to Twizel for supplies, and the deck provides an amazing view.
Recommend this hotel.

This hidden gem on a working farm was a mind-blowing find! The cozy cabin had plenty of room and seating, with a wow-worthy vintage decor. The kitchen was well-equipped with cookware and utensils, perfect for cooking up a storm. Despite the foggy weather, the beautiful setting away from the main town offered a jaw-dropping view. The location was ideal for day trips to Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo. The lodge room was pristine, decorated in a peaceful style, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and respected our privacy. The Deluxe room with ensuite had stunning mountain views from the room and balcony. The artistic touches and superb facilities made our stay super comfortable and relaxing. Free wi-fi, an electric kettle, a flat-screen TV, and an outdoor dining area added to the overall excellent experience. Unreservedly recommended for a slow-paced and relaxing stay.

Stayed at Omahau Downs Villa for one night and loved it. The room decor was quirky with personal touches, and the bed was comfortable with crisp linen. The communal kitchen and dining area worked well for the four lodges. The highlight was the veranda with a stunning view of Mount Cook. Moose the dog and his family were welcoming. Highly recommended for a unique countryside stay.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Highlight: Stayed at a cute little farm with amazing views of a big mountain. Free WiFi and BBQ facilities. Loved meeting fellow travelers, better than watching TV! Cons: Can get interesting if everyone decides to eat at the same time, but hey, they had a dishwasher!
